NEMA will be closed between 15 December 2025 and 9 January 2026

You are invited to our "End of the year party" Come along and celebrate the end of another wonderful year with us! It’s a great chance to relax, catch up, and enjoy some festive fun together.  10th December  11:00 AM – 2:00 PM  NEMA Office, Wangaratta We’ll have light refreshments, and we’d love it if you could bring a plate to share. Booking is encouraged so we can make sure everything is ready for you. We hope to see you there!

Great to have the NEMA Information and Emergency Preparedness Stall at the Myrtleford Lions North East Emergency Expo on Saturday! The event brought together SES, CFA, VicPol, FRV and local organisations, making it easier for our community to access important information on preparing for emergencies. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, together we’re building a safer, more informed community!

NEMA’s President, Ian Prentice, visited the Benalla English Class to meet the students and hear about their learning journeys. It was a great opportunity to connect, celebrate their progress, and acknowledge the wonderful work of our volunteers and participants. If you’re interested in improving your English, join our subsidised English classes every Tuesday from 5:30–6:30pm at Waminda Community House, Benalla. Everyone is welcome!

Celebrating 20 Years of NEMA! Yesterday we proudly celebrated two decades of NEMA with around 150 community members and special guests from across Victoria.
