Celebrating 20 Years of NEMA!
Yesterday we proudly celebrated two decades of NEMA with around 150 community members and special guests from across Victoria.
A heartfelt thank you to our guest speaker Simon Reich from the Bonegilla Migrant Camp for his wonderful presentation, and to RCOW Mayor Irene Grant, Deputy Mayor Harvey Benton, Councillor David Fuller, and Alpine Resilience Partnership Chair Steve Belli for joining us on this special day.
We were delighted by the vibrant cultural performances from Peru and India, and we extend our warm congratulations to all of our award winners including the Lucky Draw Winners.
The highlight of the day wasn’t just celebrating this milestone, it was the beautiful reconnection among community members, many of whom reunited after years. Moments like these remind us why NEMA continues to serve as a strong voice of multiculturalism in North East Victoria.
Here’s to many more years of inclusion, empowerment, and community connection.
