Victoria's Award for Excellence in Multicultural Affairs
VMC Ambassador Organisation 2006

The North East Multicultural Association (NEMA) was established in February 2005 to represent the interests of Culturally And Linguistically Diverse communities (CALD) in North East Victoria. It passionately advocates and promotes multiculturalism regionally.

It is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation working closely with Local Government, Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria, Regional Ethnic Communities' Councils and holds a membership with the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia.

NEMA has developed a vision and will embrace this statement through its programs, projects and activities as "The Voice of Multiculturalism in North East Victoria".

NEMA's activities and services encompass advocacy; community development initiatives; aged care programs; support groups; cross cultural training; celebrations, multicultural plan development and welcome kits for migrants.

This site is a vital resource linking NEMA to all its members and its communities in North East Victoria and to the wider and diverse Australian multicultural society.

It is with pleasure that we present you with a collection of information, stories and images of our members as they integrate with all Australians in contributing towards shaping their own harmonious communities.

We hope you enjoy your visit!
